Two souls, lost in the world, searching for purpose, until God stepped in and transformed their path.

It all began in college, during our sophomore year. Like many students, we were at a crossroads, facing that heavy decision: What do we want to do with the rest of our lives? The choices we made would define our futures.

Edgar had always felt the pull of entrepreneurship. He dreamed of starting a business, but the “what” and “how” felt like mysteries. When he got to college, that vision sharpened, a clothing brand. But fear held him back. Doubt about the name, the message, the first step, it all stalled the dream.

Kojo, on the other hand, had never thought of entrepreneurship. “I didn’t even think I could do something like that,” he says. “My mind was so limited to what I thought was possible. I filled my thoughts with emptiness, distractions, things that didn’t matter. And because of that, I felt empty too.”

But about three months before the brand was born, something began to shift. “I started to develop a real interest in clothing, not knowing it was God who had placed that in my heart. I didn’t realize at the time, but he was planting the seed.”

That seed grew quickly. Kojo approached Edgar one day and said, “Would you want to start a brand together?” Without hesitation, Edgar responded, “Of course.” The passion was real, and the mission was clear. Kojo suggested the name: Hard Truthz. That’s when everything truly began.

But building a brand wasn’t just about clothes. It was about faith, resilience, and purpose. Both of us faced our own trials and tribulations, moments that broke us, tested us, and ultimately led us to surrender. We gave our lives to God, not realizing then the plans He had for us.

We came to see that the “hard truths” of life, the struggles, the dark moments, are often what lead to blessings. In Genesis, the Bible says, “And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

Notice: darkness comes first, then light. God’s design often begins in hardship but ends in hope.

Hard Truthzis more than fashion, it’s a movement. Our designs and messages are for the students, the dreamers, the strugglers, for anyone who feels the weight of life’s hard truths. We want people to know:
